    This lovely patient underwent a subpectoral breast augmentation with Allergan 339cc silicone gel implants in 2007.  Shortly after the augmentation was performed she began to develop symptoms such as anxiety, fatigue and hair loss.  An extensive work-up did not determine a definitive diagnosis.  We removed the implants and performed total capsulectomies.  Three months after surgery she felt like some of her symptoms were improving.  As you can see in her preoperative picture her scars will eventually lighten.
