    This very lovely lone time patient of mine desired improvement of her abdomen.  She is quite happy with the results of a standard tummy tuck and flank liposuction.  Please note a couple of things.  First, the bulge in the upper abdomen in the after photos is indicative of visceral or intraabdominal fat.  This is the "bad" fat that can only be addressed with diet and weight loss.  Second, her scar is flat and thin but is still slightly red in the after photos.  This is indicative of an early post operative picture (patients don't come back after a year to get a final post operative picture taken).  This color will fade and after about 8-12 months the scar will be pale and virtually imperceptible.
