    This lovely patient has a somewhat common condition called pectus excavatum.  This is the depression of the sternum (breast bone) seen in the preoperative pictures. There is interesting anatomy associated with this condition and the surgeon must be aware of this.  You can see that it is much less noticeable in the post operative pictures.  She is quite happy.
